Information Security Specialist

We are looking for an Information Security Specialist for a global automotive company in Gothenburg.
Start is ASAP, 1 year's contract to begin with, possibility of extension after that.
Job Description
The role our client is looking for is a Senior Information Security Specialist Consultant with broad and practical experience across cybersecurity, compliance, and information classification. You will play a key role in leading and developing Wireless' Information Classification Program while also supporting a wide range of security compliance and business processes.
This role is hands-on and business-oriented, requiring strong leadership and communication skills and a solid technical background, but does not demand deep technical specialization. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across Security, Legal, Procurement, and IT teams, enabling the organization to meet security and compliance expectations efficiently and effectively.
Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and part of the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) team, you will be instrumental in driving pragmatic and scalable security initiatives across the company.
What you'll do
- Information Classification & Data Governance
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the corporate Information Classification Program.
- Develop and maintain classification guidelines and usage practices that align with business needs and regulatory requirements.
- Engage stakeholders across departments to ensure adoption and compliance with classification policies.
- Cybersecurity Governance & Compliance Support cybersecurity compliance efforts across standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and other relevant frameworks.
- Contribute to risk assessments, control development, and remediation activities. Ensure that business operations are aligned with cybersecurity best practices and internal policies.
- Business-Focused Cybersecurity Support Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring security requirements are clearly understood and embedded into business processes.
- Provide security support for RFI/RFP (Rfx) processes, working closely with Procurement and Legal to assess third-party risks.
- Contribute to vendor security evaluations and compliance due diligence.
- Cross-Functional Enablement & Communication Collaborate with IT, Engineering, Legal, Procurement, and Operations to ensure cohesive security practices.
- Translate security requirements into business-appropriate guidance and deliverables.
- Drive security awareness and training initiatives related to data handling, classification, and compliance.
Your Background
- A university degree and 8+ years of experience in information security, cybersecurity compliance, or related domains.
- Proven ability to drive security initiatives from a business-first perspective.
- Experience working in or with GRC functions and a solid understanding of compliance frameworks.
- Strong generalist knowledge of cybersecurity principles, with the ability to apply them across diverse business processes.
- Experience supporting Rfx processes and vendor risk management.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, or similar are a plus.
This is a full-time consultant position through Incluso in Gothenburg. Start is ASAP, 1 year's limited contract to begin with, possibility of extension after that.
