Functional Safety Engineer – ISO 13849
We are looking for a Functional Safety Engineer – ISO 13849 for a global company in Örebro.
Start is in June 2026, 7-months limited contract to begin with, possibility of extension after that.
As a Functional Safety Engineer, you will work with risk assessments, determination of Performance Level (PL), and the design and validation of safety-related control systems for machinery. You will also contribute to the development and documentation of safety functions within an advanced industrial environment.
The assignment involves close collaboration with engineering teams and requires the ability to interpret and apply relevant safety standards in practical development work.
Required Skills & Experience
Documented experience in functional safety according to:
ISO 13849-1
ISO 13849-2
Strong knowledge of:
Risk assessments
Performance Level (PL) determination
Categorization of safety functions
Experience with design and validation of safety-related control systems for machinery
Ability to understand, interpret, and apply technical standards
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with safety-related control systems for heavy machinery or vehicles
Knowledge of related standards such as:
ISO 12100
ISO 13849
Previous experience from the mining or automotive industry is considered an advantage

This is a full-time consultant position in Örebro through Incluso. Start is in in June 2026, 7 months limited contract to begin with. This role is 100% onsite in Örebro.
