We are looking for a Industrial Designer at their Design Studio for a company in Södertälje. Start is in May, 8-month limited contract to begin with.

The company is on a transformation journey from being a vehicle supplier to a company driving the shift towards sustainable transport systems.

On this journey, we are now in need of a highly creative and operative experienced Industrial design

consultant to support and complement our internal team in both Exterior and Interior Vehicle projects.

You will be instrumental in creating sustainable, premium product experiences for the future, aligned

with and evolving the organization I.D Strategy that will make a difference for both people and planet.

Responsibilities:

You will take part in various design projects, focusing on updates of current truck platform applications, but might as well be involved in other products related to our services and future scenarios of transportation systems.

Focus is on quick creative ideation processes and concepts definition of vehicle sub systems, converting the concepts into realization and industrialization

feasibility.

The role requires a high level of visualization skills and the ability to create simple 3D models and guide 3D Surface designers, as well as involvement and close interaction with other design studio competences and teams, like the CMF, Visual Graphics and Interaction design, Vehicle ergonomics, studio engineering and other cross-functional engineering teams.

Education (Must Have/Nice To Have):

We believe that the ideal candidate has the following qualifications and experiences:

• A master’s degree in Industrial Design/Automotive Design (or equivalent).

Experience (Must Have/Nice To Have):

• Experience from automotive design work is mandatory.
• Solid professional work experience with multiple high-level projects.

• Exceptional visual communication skills (incl. advanced 2D sketching and preferably 3D concept modeling).

• Deep understanding and knowledge of design as a tool for building and transforming brands, as well as supporting business strategies.

Language: Fluent English spoken & written
