We are looking for a Junior Software Tester for a global company in Huskvarna. Start is in April, 8-month limited contract to begin with.

Assignment Description

This is a hands-on role focused on testing mower positioning with RTK/GNSS/EPOS, mainly through manual testing in real-world conditions, with part of the role also focused on building and improving automated test cases. You will validate positioning performance, investigate deviations, and help ensure our positioning solutions are stable and robust across software updates. You’ll work closely with developers and cross-functional teams to handle issues from field and internal departments, design new tests, and contribute to continuous improvement. Your work will support both Residential and Professional Automowers, and the team works across both product areas.

Tasks

• Test and validate RTK/GNSS/EPOS positioning performance in different outdoor environments and conditions.

• Perform mainly manual testing in field and test-site conditions, including setup, execution, and first-line analysis.

• Identify, document, and help troubleshoot positioning issues such as drift, loss of fix, accuracy deviations, and recovery behavior.

• Design and execute tests based on real-world feedback, field findings, and new development needs.

• Build and maintain selected automated regression test cases for positioning-related functions.

• Analyze logs and positioning data to isolate issues to module, software, environment, or integration.

• Collaborate with developers and other teams to prioritize issues and improve test methods.

• Contribute to test plans, traceability, reporting, and release readiness material.

• Support short, focused field challenge sessions to discover new edge cases.

Required skills

• 1–3 years of hands-on experience working with positioning technologies such as GNSS, RTK, EPOS, or similar (as a tester or developer).

• ISTQB certification or equivalent testing knowledge is a plus.

• Experience with field testing and analyzing technical logs/data.

• Proficiency in Python for scripting and test automation.

• Experience with automated testing frameworks is a plus.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate positioning behavior in real environments.

• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

• A valid driver’s license (field testing will require travel to test sites).

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics, autonomous systems, or outdoor mobile products.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automated regression workflows.

• Experience with map-based analysis, positioning quality metrics, or sensor.

This role requires fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.

This is a full-time consultant position in Huskvarna through Incluso. Start is in April, 8-month limited contract to begin with, with possibility of extension after that. This role is 100% onsite in Huskvarna.
