Performance Owner - EMC & Electric Performance
We are looking for a Performance Owner - EMC & Electrical Performance for a global automotive company in Gothenburg.
Start is ASAP, 1 year's contract to begin with, possibility of extension after that.
Key Responsibilities and Scope:
1. Technical Guidance and Collaboration:
- Provide expertise in EMC and ELP design considerations to support product development teams from an early design stage.
- Work closely with internal teams and external testing laboratories to ensure compliance with standards and certifications.
2. Regulatory Compliance and Industry Awareness:
- Stay updated on evolving industry standards, emerging technologies, and changes to regulatory frameworks that impact EMC and ELP.
- Act as the compliance liaison between the company and external certification bodies or regulatory agencies.
3. EMC and ELP Testing:
- Plan, and implement EMC and ELP test procedures based on current industry standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Conduct ELP evaluations, ensuring products perform under specific environmental conditions such as temperature variations, humidity, mechanical stress, and vibration.
4. Issue Identification and Resolution:
- Analyze the results of EMC and ELP testing to identify non-conformities or areas for design improvement.
- Collaborate with product designers, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to propose and implement effective solutions for identified issues.
5. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
- Develop and maintain up-to-date documentation of testing procedures, results, and improvement actions.
- Ensure knowledge transfer about EMC/ELP best practices across relevant teams, supporting continuous product improvement.
Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is highly desirable
- Professional experience focused on EMC and ELP requirements handling, preferably within the automotive industry or other highly regulated sectors.
- In-depth understanding of EMC and ELP standards and regulatory practices, such as FCC, CISPR, and IEC
- Proficiency with relevant EMC testing equipment and tools.
- Strong analytical skills combined with a proactive, solution-oriented approach to issue resolution.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinking and ability to work in a global context.
- Fluent in Swedish & English required
