Integrations Design Engineer

We are looking for an Integrations Design Engineer for a global automotive company in Gothenburg.
Start is ASAP, 6 month's contract to begin with, possibility of extension after that.
The Integrations Engineer in the digital people & culture team you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex integrations between various systems, applications, and platforms. In addition to hands-on technical work, you will collaborate with a team of engineers, architects and stakeholders, providing guidance, and ensuring the successful delivery of integration projects.
Key Responsibilities and Scope
- Design, develop, and implement robust integration solutions using APIs, middleware, and other technologies.
- Ensure seamless data flow between systems by building and maintaining efficient and scalable integrations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, working closely with internal teams and external partners.
- Develop and maintain documentation for integration processes, protocols, and system configurations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, software development, and operations, to define integration requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Drive the adoption of new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the integration team.
Experience
- 5+ years of professional experience in integration engineering, with a specific focus on HR systems and cross-system data flows.
- Proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining complex integrations across enterprise applications.
- Experience in technical leadership, guiding integration teams and ensuring successful project delivery.
- Hands-on involvement with cloud-based integration services, particularly within Microsoft Azure or equivalent environments.
- Experience troubleshooting integration issues, performing root cause analysis, and applying sustainable fixes in production environments.
- Collaboration experience with cross-functional teams, including engineering, architecture, product management, and business stakeholders.
Skills Required:
- In-depth understanding of integration architectures and patterns, including APIs, middleware, and data synchronization techniques.
- Strong knowledge of HR domain systems and processes, particularly related to SAP SuccessFactors and HR data models.
- Familiarity with integration platforms such as Azure Logic Apps, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or comparable tools.
- Working knowledge of programming languages commonly used in integration contexts, such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Understanding of cloud computing platforms (Azure, AWS) and microservices architecture for modern, scalable integration designs.
- Awareness of data security, compliance, and governance considerations in handling sensitive HR data.
- Proficient in building scalable, secure, and maintainable integrations between cloud and on-premise systems.
- Strong diagnostic skills; able to resolve complex integration challenges quickly and effectively.
- Capable of translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences and documenting integration flows clearly.
- Effective at working with diverse stakeholders, gaining alignment, and driving adoption of best practices.
- Able to manage multiple integration projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrates ownership of integration landscapes and drives continuous improvement of integration tools and processes.
