We are looking for a "Component Owner for Belt Drive Systems" for a global automotive company in Gothenburg with hybrid (25% remote) work possibility.

Start is in April, 2 year's limited contract to begin with, possibility of extension after that.

Assignment Description

Component Owner / Design Engineer for Belt Drive components:

• Lead supplier and customer meetings related to belt drive systems.
• Conduct and lead FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) with support from senior designers.
• Track project development and create component time plans according to our product development process.
• Define and document system and component requirements, ensuring on-time delivery with quality and cost targets.
• Coordinate between manufacturing, suppliers, and customers to ensure seamless project integration.
• Provide technical support for component-related issues and implement design changes based on test results and feedback.
• Report progress, issues, and results to both line and project organizations.

Skill requirements:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical or relevant engineering field.
• Minimum 3 years of automotive development experience, preferably in Powertrain.
• Knowledge of product development process, requirement specification, and product documentation is advantageous.
• Experience with FEAD components or rotating shaft systems, and cross-functional teamwork.
• Fluent in English
• Valid Swedish driver’s license is a plus.
