Junior Calibration Engineer - Try & Hire
We are looking for a Calibration Engineer to join the EATS & Start Control Calibration team within the Engine Controls & Diagnostics department at a global company in Gothenburg.
The team is responsible for ensuring that engines meet emission regulations by developing and calibrating software models. They work with functions such as engine start, catalyst heating, emission control, and purge control for both mild hybrid and hybrid vehicles.
What You Will Do
As a Calibration Engineer, you will work closely with experienced engineers while having your own area of responsibility. Your main focus will be to develop and calibrate emission-related engine functions.
Your tasks will include:
Calibrating and optimizing engine software to meet emission requirements.
Collecting and analyzing data from engine test cells and laboratory equipment.
Using advanced software tools for modeling, calibration, and data analysis.
Testing and validating engine functions in both laboratory environments and vehicles.
Participating in vehicle testing in different climates and altitudes to ensure reliable performance under all conditions.
Supporting the development of new powertrain concepts from an early stage.
Helping create solutions that meet legal requirements while delivering a great customer experience.

Plan and develop methods for the calibration process.
Define and handle requirements within the system and from other areas.
Deliver calibration and verification of emission-related functions.
Verify calibration in rigs and cars in different environments.

Qualifications
• We believe you have a Bachelor’s or Master’s in the field of Mechanical, Physics, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. You have a passion for cars and internal combustion engines.
• Fluent in Matlab/Python/Simulink
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Driver’s license (B-level, passenger car)
Appreciated qualifications
• Fluent in Swedish (written and spoken)
• Good knowledge of internal combustion engines
• Passion for vehicles and powertrains
• Theoretical courses in combustion engines, software programming and electronics
• Experience in ETAS INCA software
Personal qualities
• Self-driven with a positive attitude
• Strong analytical skills as well as being able to execute tests “hands-on”
• You plan, conduct, summarize, and report your work in a structured and thorough manner
This is a full-time consultant position through Incluso, starting 2 November. It is a one-year contract with the possibility to be employed by the company after that. This role is 100% onsite.
