Test Engineer- System & Application Testing
We are looking for a "Test Engineer" within a System and Application Test team operating in the industrial automation and robotics industry for a global company in Västerås.
Start is in January, 1 year's limited contract to begin with, possibility of extension after that.
The primary objective of the role is to ensure high quality of newly developed products by testing complete systems, including software, electronics, and robotic manipulators running various applications.
Responsibilities
- Perform system- and application-level testing across software, electronics, and robotic equipment
- Set up and configure robot cells
- Program industrial robots
- Develop, execute, and document test cases
- Write and maintain test specifications
- Collaborate and communicate with multiple stakeholders to ensure alignment
- Drive collaboration with Global Solution Centers to define test configurations and specifications
- Communicate with product owners regarding expectations and supporting materials (e.g. videos, photos, demonstrations)
- Contribute to and drive continuous process improvements within the project
Requirements
-To succeed in this role, you should be structured and quality-focused, with a solid understanding of automation equipment and testing practices.
-Experience or knowledge in system and application testing within automation or robotics
-Basic to intermediate programming skills in RAPID and C# (exact level can be discussed)
-Knowledge of robot systems and electronics hardware
-Strong organizational skills and a result-oriented, self-motivated mindset
-Fluent in English (written and spoken); Swedish is highly desirable
Background
-Software Engineering in this context involves the development, implementation, and application of software solutions to meet customer requirements and to efficiently support analysis, production, distribution, and information management.
-The role includes performing professional engineering assignments under guidance from senior engineers, applying established engineering principles and standard practices
Education & Experience
-Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field with 0–2 years of relevant work experience, or
-Another relevant technical degree combined with approximately 10 years of experience in the field
Working proficiency in the English language is required
This is a full-time consultant position in Västerås through Incluso. Start is in January, 12 month's limited contract to begin with, with possibility of extension after that. This role is 100% onsite in Västerås.
